The National Lottery Fund received by Kicsters to support response to Covid-19

Kicsters are delighted to announce that on Thursday 18th June 2020 we received confirmation that we had been successful in our application to receive £24,000 from The National Lottery Community Fund to support our on-going work in Walsall with young people and develop online services that engage and support young people during the current Covid-19 pandemic.

From March 2020 when the UK went into lockdown, Kids In Communication (KIC) via our Kicsters project have been working with young people from across Walsall to design and develop a virtual youth club from our website (www.kicsters.co.uk). During this process it was clear that there were 4 clear packages young people wanted when accessing our Kicsters Clubs both face-to-face and online.

Once the UK lockdown has been lifted Kicsters will continue to work with young people to develop services and features available on our virtual youth club as well continue delivering our face to face youth clubs in both the Darlaston and Mossley communities.
